Moving from old laptop with 60 Hz G-sync to new PC with 144 Hz (without Gsync) -both 1080p

Would it be bad, if i move from 60 Hz gsync to 144 no gsync? 144 Hz Gsync (at least VA) monitory are to expensive for me....

Yes I'd take 144 Hz over G-SYNC 60 Hz any day. However you might not be able to hit 144 fps in most games with a GTX 1060 unless you lower settings. In which case 60 Hz G-SYNC will be a better experience. Even at 144 Hz, no G-SYNC feels weird to me now.

If you’re getting a 1080 Ti to max out settings you better wait and buy a G-SYNC monitor later. Even a 1080 Ti cannot run newer titles at 1440p 144 Hz with max settings.
