Which 1080 Ti GPU should I get

Hi, i am going to build a pc and i am going to use a 1080 ti gpu. But i dunno which i should get. The 3 I am eyeing at is the Zotac AMP Extreme 1080 ti, EVGA GTX 1080 Ti  SC2 and FTW3 and the Aorus GEFORCE GTX 1080 ti Xtreme. Pls recommend me 1 thanks

ik the asus rog strix 1080 ti oc is gd is just  a bit too expensive. Is it a better choice to go with a evga gtx 1080 ti sc2 or a zotac amp extreme 1080 ti or a aorus geforce gtx 1080 ti xtreme??

I would say the FTW3, becouse it has better power delivery and great service with evga. you can even overclock it without bricking your warrenty.

ya  but the base clock and the boost clock is quite low compared to other models.

yeah, but that says nothing, you can go way further with good cooling and power delivery. and as i said, you are allowed to do so by evga, and pascal cards are practicly unbreakable with oc'ing

s you mean that the base clock and boost clock speed does not matter...

It's technicly a factory overclock, you can go higher with actual overclocking with some software like afterburner or xoc

The amp will perform the best. EVGA GPUs tend to be alright but not the best unless you get something like a kingpin card and even then that doesn't guarantee anything. EVGAs customer service is great but other companies is not bad at all. Zotac I had my 980ti die and they sent me a 1080 the next day no questions asked

Just get the cheapets one you can find. Unless your really going to go into overclocking, it really doesnt matter much.

What is the price range of those cards? If they're near or cheaper than an RTX 2080, I'd suggest the 2080 instead. In my neck of the woods, some GTX1080 Ti's are more expensive than the RTX2080.

Well if your going to OC, it depends on how your going to go about it.

if your going to OC on air, grab the FTW3.

If your going to OC on water but dont particulrly care about getting insanely high OC's, just grab any bog standard reference design 1080ti that you can fit a waterblock to.

If you want to go a bit further, then again consider the FTW3

 

Then ofc if you really want to go crazy with OCing, consider the binned GPU's like the Kingpin, Lightning, Strix(i think), and HOF. (at this point your spending enough to get a 2080, and maybe should even consider a 2080ti)

 

The amp extreme cooler isnt great from what ive seen reviewed, so while the card may be good, the cooler isnt. And trying to watercool it may be a problem as i dont beleve there is a block for it. So personaly i think that card is a no go.

Personally I wouldn't get to concerned with additional (non factory) overclocking a aftermarket 1080ti.

 

I push my system hard and to be honest for what it delivers in FPS, stock is fine nearly all the time.

Only have experience with the Asus. It stayed under 60 degrees with a modest overclock.

The FTW3 is the way to go imo.

The 280mm cooler, are your talking about a 280 rad in a custom loop for which your gpu will be part of , or just a AIO cpu cooler ?

 

650w should be fine for even a OC'ed single card system.
