I have been asking myself the same thing for the last week days.  Possibly higher factory power capabilities?  I am an EVGA fan...they have always treated me very well, and that is rare these days.   My 1080ti FTW3 is amazing and was awesome even before I installed the hybrid kit, so that was my initial thought when pre-orders were happening.  If the other EVGA 2080 ti variants become available before my 2080ti gets delivered, I will snag one.

I like EVGA because they only focus on nVidia cards.  No offense to AMD.

I like EVGA because they replaced my 980ti with a 1080 FTW and also replaced a couple other cards I had minor annoyances with.  Their customer service blows away the other high-end PC parts competition.

Somewhat off topic, but in the third image the woman is framed in the Motherboard cut-out and it amused me :D

  • EVGA will often warranty the card even if there was an aftermarket water block on it (you have to put the stock cooler on it though)
  • Better power delivery over SC2 (but aparently that doesnt matter too much since Pascal limits voltage)
  • ICX features like extra sensors (though SC2 also has those)
  • Overbuilt PCB

Has anyone else had this issue?

This tube: Bitspower None Chamfer PETG 16mm OD Tube Length 1000mm

is not jiving with these fittings:  Bitspower BP-WTP-C89 Silver Shining Multi-Link For OD 16MM Adapter

That tubing is a VERY tight with the other Bitspower fittings I have, but should work. There is just no way with the fitting listed above. I got one in, but I practically had to stand on it. Anyone else had this problem? Is the tubing slightly oversized? I can't find my micrometer.

Doing some more test fitting while I wait on parts.  I still need to pull the rads back out and flush them.

I think this is going to be the pump location....

I can't wait to see the ROG Apex for Z390 chipset and they better be making a dam mono block for it. That board series is everything I ever wanted in a board.

My money's on it be being VERY simular to the z370 Apex.  I really need my MB before I can go much further.

The z390 ROG MAximus XI with the factory ek waterblock intrigues me.

I hope it will I don't want them to change its no nonsense design. Im hoping 5.3GHz - 5.5Ghz is possible, the 8700k is getting 5.4Ghz by many so with my setup should not be an issue, assuming possession of a good chip.

5.3GHz plus would be awesome.  The most I got out of my 7820x was 5GHz delided and under a big AIO...

I like where you are going with this build.  Waiting for the 9900k as well to upgrade my rig and do a custom loop as well.  I cancelled the pre-order on the 2080 Ti FE myself to go with the FTW3 as well.  Seems that the reference PCB and models so far don't allow much over stock while the FTW3 is rumored to allow up to 373w.

Yeah, this is for the best. Whenever I feel like conversation between me and my uninitiated relatives/friends would touch the subject of the cost of a high end liquid cooled PC rig, I either try to steer away the conversation or flat out underestimate it by at least 50% :D

I was wondering, since the latest picture is from different angle - did that S fitting allow you for a more parallel routing of the vertical tube? In the picture before it was more crooked in relation to the radiator.

Anyway, looking good man! ?

Correct the "S" Fitting alowed for a near perfect parallel routing....and I thought it looked cool.  ?

I went ahead and ordered a EK Velocity RGB Nickel/Plexi water block.  They are on back order, but should be here next week.

Other than that I am kind of at a standstill.  The GPU is ordered, but the blocks are not available for them yet. The CPU/MOBO are not available to order.  Rumor has it via Silicon Lottery that CPU's will be available to the public the week of 10/22 and I would assume motherboards at the same time.  Until then...Hrmmmm.

I got shipping notifications for the CPU block and motherboard tonight.  EK Velocity block will be here Wednesday and the MOBO Thursday.  Looks like the 2080ti FTW3 and 9900k are still a week or more out.

If I get the CPU and GPU earlyish and get stuck waiting for the GPU waterblock I may run soft lines to the CPU block and run the FTW3 on air to get the system running.  Any reason not to temporarily mix soft and hard?

Also ordered my parts the other day.  Went with the 9900k of course plus the Asus ROG Maximus XI Formula.  My biggest hold up is that I want either the FTW3 or Asus Strix but both are not even shipping the original pre-orders.  Probably won't be until December before 2080 Ti is readily available.
