Hello there,

I have a korean 4k tv called Wasabimango (My model it says uses LG IPS 4K 10bit panel) paired with GTX 1050 TI using HDMI 2.0

I use it to watch Netflix via Chromecast Ultra (No problems at all) and as PC Monitor, where it has one little but annoying problem:

When you have 24/30p video playing on the screen, noticeable stutter occurs (Mouse movement is very jerky). It feels like FPS drops from 60 to 30

Using the UFO tests ive found that my tv skips frames if you have low fps video played on the screen (Be it 4K or 480P), and works flawlessly if the video runs at 60fps (Again, regardless if its 4K or 480P) or if there is no video at all. Also, playing PC games is absolutely fine too.

Since most of internet (Like facebook plays video in background) still uses low fps video, this tv sometimes drives me crazy.

So the questions are:

1)Why it does this?

2)Is there any solutions for it?

Ive disabled all the features like soap-opera effect, dynamic colors etc.

The attached images is one for youtube 4K60p video (All fine) and the other is 4K30P video (Frameskipping)

There’s probably an adaptive frame rate setting the TV has, or something like it. See if it does and disable that.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!
