Bright Spots on Asus PG278QR Monitor

I recently noticed a few bright spots on the lower third of my monitor. I have found various things on the internet, but am still not exactly sure what caused them and how to further prevent them, as well as if it is possible to fix them. I clean my monitor with a micro fiber cloth while it is turned off, but have never applied pressure or damaged it with any liquid as far as I can tell. Any response would be appreciated.

Sounds like backlight bleed. Asus monitors have bad QC problems. That monitor should have Rapid Replacement so try and use it. Good luck its gonna be hard.
