Your graphics hardware does not support all features (CSM) needed to run this game [Resolved]

Just built a new computer and trying to launch csgo it says this. I've tried almost everything to fix it and now I'm desperate. Please help!

I have a 1050ti and have downloaded drivers.

I have also tried DDU but it didnt work.

Silly question but have you tried a restart. Never underestimate the power of turning it off and on.

If that doesn't work go device manager and make sure it's being picked up as a device.

A quick google search found a system file checker fixed it for some people.  Do not run things in cmd unless you understand them, at very least research/google themself.(system file checker is a cmd command).

Regards,

Robin

Another silly question, is your display cable plugged into your motherboard (assuming you have an APU) or graphics card?

It should be in your graphics card.

Desktop:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.75* RAM: 2 by 8gb G.Skill Flare X 2400 @2666* GPU Strix GTX 1070 @1880-ish

Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb; 2x 2tb Seagate Barracuda Drives; 1tb hdd (It died after 4 years :();

Laptop: (HP Stream 11-y010nr "Spent all my money on my Desktop" Edition)

CPU: Intel Celeron N3060 @160 BILLION hertz RAM: 400 BILLION bytes Samsung DDR3L @160 BILLION hertz

GPUIntel HIGH DEFINITION Graphics @32 BILLION hertz

Storage: 32 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE emmc C drive with 64 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE microSD card D drive.

*Overclocked around 25% of the time... questionably stable.

I've tried to restart, hard restart, and DDU (twice), and the same error message pops up

When I plug my DVI or HDMI cable into my GTX 1050 ti, the screen just shows the desktop, and nothing else, not even desktop shortcuts. and I am unable to open applications, so right now it is plugged into my motherboard (ASUS Prime z370-a), because it is the only thing that will let me actually use my PC

Disable the intel graphics device in device manager.  Your PC is using the Intel GPU as the primary, it needs to be disabled.  Optimally this would happen in the BIOS, but can be done in the device manager to some extent as well.

yeah, if you right click your desktop and run Nividia control panel, you can set which graphics card to use and have a better look at if its working and why it might not be.

If Nividia control panel isn't there then i think that will suggest driver issues (but i'm not certain).

I can't open as my monitor is hooked up to my motherboard and not my GPU for the reason I stated in another post:

If any of you guys can figure out how to fix that, it would be great.

Disable the integrated graphics in the BIOS.

I might be misunderstanding but are you saying the hdmi connection is showing just your desktop background?

Sounds a little like its configured as a 2nd screen output? Do you have 2 screens, I would be curious to find out if you plug a source into both do you get a 2 screen set up. If you do you could then go setting and set the HDMI as you first and only screen output...

I hope this sorts the issue but I migh've completely missunderstood what you mean.

I only have 1 screen, but when I plug it it, it does kinda act like one when I plug in my HDMI input, I have to move my cursor a lot to the side before I am able to see it. I can't seem to find out how to make my screen just take GPU HDMI input, but if you guys know what to do, please tell me.

My next step in troubleshooting would be to burrow a 2nd monitor or lug my TV up to my room and plug in 2 screen.

Once i had 2 screens set up go to display setting and swap screen 1 and 2 around.

However if you don't have a 2nd screen then your best to follow KarathKasun suggestion. In fact KarathKasun suggestion holds alot of merit and might be best to follow, I tend to hide away from bios until a last resort thing but for simple tasks its not that scarey i guess lol.

I've disabled the intergrated graphics, but when I plug my computer into my GPU, it still acts as a separate monitor.

Ensure you restarted after changing the bios settings.

After booting and logging in,
Try Pressing Win+P see if a display options window appears? Maybe Select duplicate if you can? Does this fix the screen issue?
