Uses for Biometrics/Windows Hello outside of logging in?

Are there any uses for Biometrics or Windows Hello using a finger print scanner outside of logging in and some password managers within the browser?

On GNU/Linux you can set it up so when you need a root password, for example: upgrading your system, you can just swipe your finger and it will work.

That's a good use for it. I'm about to build a linux box and this may be something to keep in mind.
