Hello,

I have an Asus VivoBook Flip 15 R518UQ-RH74T 2 in 1 laptop and I need help figuring out how to remove the back panel in case I need to repair it or make upgrades. I would appreciate any and all help.

 

Current Specs:

7th Gen Intel Core i7- 7500u 2.7 ghz dual core

12 gb ram

256 gb m.2 ssd + 1 tb hdd

Nvidia GeForce 940MX videocard with 2GB ram.

Window 10 Operating System

Remove all the screws on the bottom, and lift up the keyboard/trackpad/palmrest assembly. Be careful not to rip the ribbon cables, then disattach the ribbon cables.

 

I don't know why you would upgrade it, the GPU will be soldered on the motherboard, same with the CPU, and possibly the RAM (maybe not because of it's weird RAM configuration)

What kind of tool(s) would you recommend to lift up the keyboard/trackpad/palmrest assembly?

Your finger nail, guitar pick, or small flat head screwdriver. Just be careful, there will likely be clasps.
