Yesterday, I built my first pc and hooked up a brand new samsung 860 evo 250gb ssd for booting up windows 10 pro and a separate 2tb hdd for extra storage . After finishing all the post pc building procedures: bios settings, windows and drivers installation, etc. which I did while only the ssd is connected, I noticed that from a 242gb free space, I just now have 199gb available! So the question is, WHERE HAVE THAT STORAGE SPACE GONE? Are all those things that I have installed and updated that big to take up around 40gb of my ssd???

It's actually only 20, but storage sizes are not perfect on drives. There's a techquickie video about why drives are never the correct size in windows.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

After updates, it can be closer to or over 40gb.
