Any thoughts about Escape From Tarkov?

Hi there.

I was just wondering if anyone has pre-ordered the game and has been granted access to the private beta? If you have what do you think about the game? If not, I would like to hear your thoughts anyway

DONT, just dont. The idea is great and everything, the looting is fun but oh boi the Netcode. 9/10 times either the Netcode is on your side and you kill someone while on his screen you were nowhere to be seen or you get killed from a dude that's around the corner and you didnt even see yet. Servers are laggy af.. just don't. It's not worth it for the beta

I heard that some of the issues has been fixed. Also the video is from the 5th of June. 2 months ago.

Nothing really has changed, fired it up last week, same old same

I feel like this is going to be next Dayz SA that is years in development and never finishes

 

tl;dr is it fun? sometimes. is it worth the price tag? no

 

If they polish it up as it is now and fix the bugs, it's imo very fun to play with friends but as it is right now, it's really frustrating

I wouldn't even look at it.

The company went big with their debut title "Contract Wars", which was a pretty damn good shooter for free to play browser FPS.

HOWEVER, game never left "beta" state, despite being released for 7 years or so. Netcode is huge problem for it as well, and it was never fixed.

Devs promised "recode" that was supposed to fix issues and add new features, but instead it was released as another title "Hired Ops", that died very fast.

I'm having a blast in Escape from Tarkov - a truly outstanding title IMO.

Of course they need to fix the netcode and related, but that will come.

It's certainly much better than a couple of months ago.
