Is this a good deal? - GTX 1060 6G

Today I found an ASUS Dual GTX 1060 6G for 266€ which is a normal price for a cheap 1060 6G. But you get a free Adata SU650 240GB SSD which costs about 50€. My laptop currently has a almost dead 1TB HDD and I wanted to upgrade to a 240GB SSD anyways. My system has a R5 1600 with 16GB of RAM. At first I wanted to get something like a 1050Ti since I don't really play demanding titles. Then I changed my mind and thought that I could wait until new GPUs hit the market. But now I'm considering this Combo if this is a really good deal. Recommendations?

It would be best to provide a link from where you saw this offer

I added the link to the original post. Saturn is a big electronics store in Germany.

It is a good deal. I'd say go for it since you have a use for both GPU and SSD.

CPU: i7 3770K | MB: EVGA Z77 FTW | RAM: HyperX Savage 2400Mhz 16GB | GPU: R9 280X Toxic | Cooler: Scythe Fuma | PSU: CoolerMaster B600

SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB

SSD is a great idea but how much of the current 1TB is in use?? If it more then the size of the SSD you may need to re-think your approach.

As for 1060, more info is needed. What sort of titles do you play at what res? Any other graphics intensive programs?? It's all relative and you may find the extra benefits might not be worth the cost for your use.

if I did the math right, that's about $300 US dollars? if so, that's a not a bad deal at all. I bought an MSI 1060 6gb at the start of the year for $379 and it didn't come with anything.

I think GPU prices will continue to come down as the new cards are launched, but that right now is a good deal since a 1060 here is the same price, but you're also getting an SSD, so nice bonus

The HDD is almost empty. 240GB will be totally fine.

That's my main concern. A GTX 1050Ti would be fine for my tasks but Since I have to spend 50€ on a SSD anyways, the 1060 6G costs effectively 216€ which is about 50€ more then a decent 1050Ti. Of course waiting is always an option but since Nvidia has just announced their new cards it will take them some time to release a budget option. Especially since they increased the price of the 2070 compared to the 1070.

On the other hand I will probably get more use out of the 1060 6G since I will probably have to replace the 1050Ti sooner. But from another point of view this could be an advantage.

My favourite PC game atm is Hollow Knight which needs almost no performance. The most demanding game I want to play is Rise of the Tomb Raider which I don't own right now. But I hope the price will drop after they release the sequel.

I don't use any GPU intensive programs.
