Hello People,

I am currently having a really difficult time finding a new monitor to upgrade from my BenQ GL2460HM

I have just finished upgrading my system which now has the following specs

Case - Thermaltake Core P5
Motherboard - MSI Z150A M5
Graphics Card - GeForce GTX 1080TI ROG Strix
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB
Processor - Intel Core i5-6600K
Power Supply - Thermaltake Smart Pro 850W (Modular)
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master V8 GTS
SSD Boot Drive - Samsung 970 PRO 512 GB
Steam Hard Drive - WD Black 4TB

I am really looking for a monitor that has the following specs

  • 144hz
  • 1080P / 1440p (1440P is my preference)
  • G-Sync / (Don't Mind Without)

For budget I am looking for something under £550 I am open to prices higher but I would like to get a couple of this monitors

if possible.

UPDATE - This is for Gaming use

You can use something like pcpartpicker to have an overview of a couple of monitors with the specs you want but HDR won't be available for that price guess that will be £800+

This is primarily for gaming use.

The site I always check for reviews in my country has some positive and negative points but it's user feedback so it might be totally different for you

pro's

  • Gsync
  • 1440p
  • 144hz - 165hz overclock
  • thin bezels
  • ips coloraccuracy
  • 27"
  • no backlight bleed
  • small feet
  • twist, pivot, rotate

cons:

  • price
  • backlight bleed
  • gamer look with red feet
  • no dvi
  • ips glow
  • bad interface (OSD)
  • cheap buttons
  • big logo
  • bad speakers

All and all as IPS is always a lottery whether you have backlight bleed or ips glow this seems to be a good monitor, i always wonder why ppl that can afford this would not have a decent headset or speakers and use dvi instead of hdmi or display port xD
