Can you replace the xenon lights so you make the car look like a newer facelift model.

So basically can you buy xenon lights from the audi a4 b8 facelift, and put it on a normal 2009 audi a4 b8, because if you can how will it look, because i really love the facelifted look of the b8 and im just wondering if you can put thoose lights on the older b8 and make it look like a new one

Do they have the same socket? Also, do xenon lights require other parts for them to work well? (Like a ballast or something)

ive been told, that you need a new control unit

Not sure about xenon lights but for LED lights you'll need a ballast and sometimes an anti-flickering thingy, so maybe you'll need something special for it.

Check your owners manual for information about the size of the socket and maybe compare it to the one you want (you can find owners manuals online for most cars)

If the units have the same mounts, and have ballasts built in, you're most of the way there. But it's likely the connectors to the headlights will be different as well, so wiring will be required.

As for the legality, that should be fine as the headlight unit is being replaced as a whole. Unlike some people who put high powered HID bulbs into units not designed for them
