Even if your local network only has IPv6 that shouldn't affect your ability to access IPv4 websites (if any major sites still only use it).

If that's what you're asking.

Some ISP's like Comcast dual stack IP addresses, where you get an IPv4 and v6 address. Some ISP's who run out of IPv4 addresses have started using carrier grade NAT to get around the issue. As @Windows7ge said, if your intenral network is IPv6, it should not affect your internet, as internet Routable addresses are assigned by your ISP, and all routers support IPv4 for internet addressing, most of the new ones support both IPv4 and v6.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Your router acts as an intermediary. If the website only supports IPv4 then when the IPv4 packet data hits your router it'll take the packet data and attach an IPv6 header for your local network to communicate that data with your computer. So if you can't access these web services it isn't IP version related.

Besides, website requests you make to the internet query your ISP (or other) DNS server so even on IPv6 only you'll get the IPv4 of the web server.

Actually, if there is nothing to translate the IPv4 address to IPv6 or vice versa when leaving the IPv6 only network then there is no accessing IPv4 only sites. I would suspect though that his ISP hasn't gone full IPv6 only and has some form of IPv4 (probably with CGNAT) but that IPv4 is locally disabled on the adapter.

OP, can you access other sites via your phone or another device?

I'm basing what I said under the assumption that their router was assign both an IPv4/v6 on the WAN interface but that someone disabled IPv4 locally.
