Surge Protector! [Amazon Basics Trustworthy?]

Hey!

 

So I was looking for some surge protectors for my house, Due to I'm using really old ones, and would like to upgrade - My power Rairly ever shuts of from storms and such, But it is nice to be covered just in case.

 

So I went to Home Depo and they had some for 15/20/30$ each and Thought id check out Amazon before I buy ~ I went on amazon And found this listing direcly from Amazon

It is the Amazon Basic Suge protectors it comes in a pack of 2 - that would be good bc I need 2, for my livingroom / Room but was wonding if like.. It would protect me if my power ever did shut off - Dont want to fry my computer.

 

Its just odd they are only 15$ for a pack of 2

Basic surge protectors are pretty trivial to make now, so them being that cheap isn't super shocking. Look for a few reviews, but they should be safe to use.

Those will work but I wouldn't use on higher end equipment, they have a very low joule rating so they can't take a big hit like better units. Good ones from brand names like APC,  Tripplite, Belkin, GE, Philips are all good options.
