how can i know that mobo supports ryzen 2200g

how can i know that it is gonna support it.

awhat should i do if i bought a mobo that needs an bios update.

i am planning to buy GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-DS3H mobo

By now, pretty much every motherboard should ship with a compatible BIOS.

 

If for some reason it doesn't, you can order AMD's bootkit and update the BIOS that way.

There is a pretty low chance that it is not going to support it, but if it doesn't you can get a boot kit or go to a micro center or fries, but by then you could just get a B450 motherboard

I am building a Ryzen 2200G build as well but kind of over-paid for a B450 motherboard because I didn't want to have to deal with the BIOS and so it would be more appropriate for a say, 4600X in a couple years if I upgrade

Also if you go to a tech store it will have a sticker on the motherboards that have an updated Bios

No motherboard B350 motherboard is guaranteed to have latest BIOS unless you go to a store and it has the sticker

What I did was go to a physical store to purchase the motherboard and price match it to the one online. Look for a "Ryzen 2000 ready" sticker on the box. If there is none, just ask the store clerks to help you update the bios. This way you can make sure you get an updated motherboard that works with the 2200G
