Truning my Imac into Monitor for my PC

So as the title suggests, I have an old Imac from 2011. I don't need to OS anymore as I've built a much better modern PC now. I did, however, skimp out on a good monitor, so I wanna know how to turn my Imac into one. It must be possible and seems like a fin exercise.

It probably is, but you're probably have to make a custom interface to connect a standard cable to the scaler of the monitor.

You basically just need to enter a command on the iMac and it works as a monitor 

 

EDIT: Hopefully yours is new enough to support that

It depends if it even has a output.
