So I have always wanted to build my own PC and after years of watching linustechtips on youtube, I am ready to take the jump. I like the products that corsair offers, especially those that are compatible with their iCUE software, same love for Asus. Below is the planned build so far.

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor  ($359.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H150i PRO 47.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus - ROG MAXIMUS X HERO (WI-FI AC) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($239.89 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory  ($340.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung - 970 Pro 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($229.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($198.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate - 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($56.50 @ Newegg Marketplace)
Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX Video Card  ($524.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair - Obsidian 500D RGB SE ATX Mid Tower Case  ($249.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair - 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($152.49 @ Amazon)
Case Fan: Corsair - LL120 RGB LED 43.2 CFM  120mm Fan  ($34.03 @ OutletPC)
Case Fan: Corsair - LL140 RGB LED (TwoFans With Lighting Node PRO) 51.5 CFM  140mm Fans  ($91.05 @ OutletPC)
Keyboard: Logitech - K800 Wireless Slim Keyboard  ($63.99 @ Walmart)
Mouse: Logitech - MX MASTER 2S (Black) Wireless Laser Mouse  ($75.99 @ Newegg Marketplace)

The only hard part now is to decide on a monitor. I plan to use the build to play a few games (GTA V, Star Trek Online (will be played the most), maybe Forza) and also I do a lot of photo editing.

I am trying to decide between the Asus PG348Q or 2  Asus PG279Q. What are your opinions?

Unfortunately I was only receiving replies about the build and not the actual monitors which I wanted opinions on. I am going to delete the other post.

Single curved ultrawide > dual 16:9 monitors any day. Far more immersive gaming experience. I recommend the Acer X34P or Alienware AW3418DW, as they are both 3440x1440 100Hz (native) / 120Hz (OC). The PG348Q is 60Hz (native) / 100Hz (OC). You might also want to wait for the LG 34GK950G, it's 3440x1440 120Hz (native or OC not sure, there's a debate on r/ultrawidemasterrace), Nano IPS with 98% DCI-P3 coverage.

The Alienware sounds interesting. My worry’s about these monitors is the quality control issues I have seen in reviews.
