What type of display does this have?

Go to solution Solved by genexis_x,

Good TN panel

That model is good

8300H is enough in games

What type of LCD does this laptop have (IPS, TN, VA, WVA, etc) and what's the refresh rate of the display: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-17-3-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-8750h-1tb-sshd-128gb-ssd-16gb-ram-nvidia-gtx-1050ti-win-10/12600846.aspx?

The model number of this laptop is GL703GE-BB71-CB

And a second question, do you think I should buy the laptop above for $1120 CAD/$860 USD?

Thanks in advance.

I would guess some form of LCD, most likely a TN panel.

As for refresh rate, the spec page says 120Hz.

I believe it's a TN panel too, and I'd appreciate it if you can answer my second question too. Do you think I should buy that laptop for $1120 CAD or not?

That looks to be a pretty decent deal.

The only downside I'm seeing is the GPU, I'd want at least a 1060. But that's gonna cost a fair bit more.

Thanks for you help! A 1050 Ti is plenty for me because this laptop is for someone who plays games like Minecraft and Robolox, so a 1060 is overkill.

Lots of 8300H + 1050 Ti deals, but I have a feeling quad cores are gonna get pretty old, pretty soon ;)
