If you think that having higher refresh rate than your lowest fps is useless than I do not want your reply, I am already aware of your point of you and have no respect for it.

Is there any monitor that is known to reliably overclock to 70hz and up?

For anyone curious, a rx 580 will run BFBC2 and older games at 4K 75fps stable

Also, even if I can't reach 75fps, 75hz is better than 60 hz, whith free-sync and the like, and even without it, except in super rare circumstances where you vsync a stable 60 fps.

I would rather run my desktop at 75hz than 60 hz etc etc

CPU: Ryzen 5500 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: ddr4 3000Mhz 4x8GB  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.

do they all reliably achieve this? How do you know

Not all 60Hz panels overclock to 75Hz with success, but some panels overclock better than others.

The problem is in the connection, if it's displayport 1.2 you can't go beyond 4k 60. If you plan on overclocking make sure it's a dp 1.3 or 1.4 monitor.

DP 1.2 has enough bandwidth for 4K 75 Hz.
