Overclocking i5 8600k need help.

Hi,

 

Just been overclocking my i5 8600k and managed to get it to 5ghz. 

Sadly it will crash during the cinebench benchmark. It will shut off and blue screen.

 

Is it because my power supply isnt capable of handling the overclock?

 

Currenty PSU : EVGA SuperNova G3 650W Gold

Has nothing to do with the power itself, but you probably don't have enough voltage for stability at that speed. Try upping voltage a little at a time till you find a stable setting. Do be mindful of the temps.

650W is plenty. 

BSOD during Cinebench means your OC is nowhere near close to be stable.
