Trying to hear audio from my Switch and PC at the same time.

So I actually had this working with my PS4 just fine, but my Switch isn't going as smoothly.

So here's my setup; I have an aux cord plugged into my microphone jack on my motherboard, and I plugged the other end into my Switch's audio jack. I then unmuted my microphone jack in my sound settings, and then when I put my headphones on, I do get audio from both systems. This worked flawlessly with my PS4, but for some reason when I do this with my Switch, I'm getting awful audio feedback. Getting some loud buzzing, and a sort of pattering sound. It almost sounds like a helicopter. I'm not sure if this has to do with the quality the aux cord, but it's odd that it worked fine with my PS4, but there's a lot of feedback on the Switch. Is there a way to fix this? Or perhaps other methods to hear audio from both systems?

I had exactly the same issue so I decided to buy this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01IETQQQK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and place it between the switch and line in on my pc. I now have no audible crackling. I'm not an audio buff so not sure what was causing this as my phone was perfect with line in and only the switch produced crackling but I can confirm that this fixed the issue for me (if it still crackles try twisting the jacks until it doesn't crackle)

I will probably try this then! Just for clarification; you said you plugged the male end of the isolator into the Switch, then the aux cord from the PC into the female end of the isolator?

I believe either way will work but I have it the other way around with the male end of the Isolator going into my PC line in and then a male to male cable going from my switch into the Isolator

Edit: Just realised the Isolator is female each side anyway so yeah just as long as it sits between the switch and PC line in it should work
