2000 series out, will 1000 series gpus prices drop?

is there any chance the 1000 series prices will drop since the 2000 series are out? I'm planning to upgrade to 1060 but if prices are gonna drop then i'm gonna buy 1070

Not by much. They'll just hope to sell through most of their stock before December, when the entire product line will be out.

Remember, the cards aren't shipping for another month.

Don't expect significant, long-term price cuts on the 10 series. You may find a good sale now and then from a store clearing stock, but it won't last long.

For those not familiar, Ryan is part of PCPer. Don't know if this will be limited to FE only, or will also affect AIB models.

 

Having said that, pricing on 10 series is softening especially in used. This may also be in part due to relatively low crypto values currently.

Haha, interesting. That's brutal. Though, it's worth noting that we don't know how many cards they had available; could be that they weren't expecting high sales due to the price, and ETA's will drop as they increase production.
