Can i upgrade my graphics card to gtx 1060?

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade my pc which i use only for playing AAA titles (AC Origins, Battlefield 1) etc. It still runs theses titles but with many options turned off for 60fps. I built this rig about 5 yrs ago i think. Specs are:

Intel 3450 processor

Some intel motherboard

8 gb ddr3 ram

1 tb sata 7200

sapphire ati radeon 7850

550 watt coolermaster PSU

I need some on whether i can upgrade my graphic card to 1060. I move around a lot but am currently in Asia. Electronics are a bit cheap here. I can get the card for around $350. However i found that my processor might bottleneck the card. I really dont wanna get a new rig this time around. ( Strapped for cash). 

Tldr; Getting 1060 would be great or totally useless with my Intel 3450 processor.

$350 for a 1060, presumably 6GB is pretty overpriced.

 

I suggest you get an RX 580 8GB, used if you feel like it, and spend the spare money on an SSD for your OS and any games.

 

If you have left over money, consider some more ram.

So, 580 or 1060 wont bottleneck my system?

Just get either one of those GPU's and see your performance..

Chances are it "bottlenecks" your system, but you will for sure notice a big performance upgrade anyways.

Can buy that faster cpu and motherboard / ram in a later stadium in life

Shouldn't. They are a decent balance.
