GTX 1050 ti doesn't produce video after about 6-8 months, worked great up until a week ago, where sometimes when I booted up my PC or woke it from sleep mode, I would have no display and would have to restart.

The fans do spin, it doesn't show up in device manager and not in speccy either. Motherboard on board video works.

Here's a thread with the problem I had:

sounds like gpu issue since it's not in device manager.

Could this have been due to installing the latest drivers? You might want to uninstall current drivers and revert to the last ones that were stable.

If that doesn't work, it might be best to just RMA the card

If you have a fancy UEFI BIOS it  might display if GPU is detected, I'd look for it there.  Or if it's an OEM motherboard like Dell there's even an on-board diagnostic tool you could try running.  If it doesn't even show up in the BIOS (in any discernible form) it's time to RMA that sucker.

Side thought: What do we know about your power supply?  How are all the system temps in speccy?  Is it possible the card is protesting something like unstable power?  Any other recent system changes other than flipping back and forth from iGPU and external GPU?

all temps are usually below 40, power supply is a EVGA 500B, no new changes, just started to dick around on me outta no where

Yeah that all checks out.  The only other thing I would think about doing in your situation is IF you have a another computer you could try testing it in there just to see if you get another result.  You run a slight risk if the GPU is malfunctioning (or any issues with the express card pins) so if it's spare computer or one you can test with all the better.

Barring that being an option, you're very squarely in RMA territory with that GPU it appears.
