Hi everyone,

Im currently in search for a cheap socket 775 mainboard to overclock an old core2duo til it dies.

The only thing it needs is no cpu overvoltage protection, because I intent to kill the cpu in front of my class, to show them what happens when you push 2 Volts through it.

I dont care how it looks, if its used or what formfactor it uses, but it should be available in germany and be cheap enough to kill it.

Any retail 775 board with a P35 or P43 chipset should do. Most X38/X48 and nForce chipsets are more expensive.

You probably won't be able to kill it then...

Boards that allow 1,75V+ on Vcore are simply too expensive for this.

Search for ASUS ROG series (nForce 6 or later and Intel P965 or later).

They MAY have that 2V option you are looking for...
