Hi!

Guys, I just noticed something....

Why the **Advertiser Friendly Content** (u know what i meanB|) are Power Supplies so expensive???

For my entire life i have been buying 5$ cheap non branded power supplies, but they never failed on me, so should i even bother?

So the question is: Is there a good budget PSU that has an 80+ rating, Modular cables, 6+2x2 connectors, 550 watt power rating with a decent 12v rail? (besides CX550M)

Budget is 50USD MAX!!!

What are your specs?

The reason you don't want to own cheap PSUs is because they lack protections for both the unit itself and for the rest of your hardware. Super shit ones can catch fire or melt their own wires, that sort of thing.

50 USD is not a lot for a PSU. Unless you have something like a GTX 1060 and i5, you may want to spend more for a higher-quality unit. Why can't you go for a CX550M? That's a pretty good unit and you're not going to beat it for the money.

I have a 1050 and an i5 3570...

for future build (R1600 GTX 1060) i think i should leave some breathing room for the PSU...

Also, i would like to see some other variants too.

Naah... It costs more than CX550M on amazon (60USD)

Note: i cant buy anything on NewEgg and other websites, because i live in Georgia and nobody ships products here exept Amazon (even amazon doesn't sometimes)

P.S i\In Georgia i mean the Country, not a state...

A 1060 and 1600 would use about 200W without overclocking. Maybe 250-275W with OC. You'd be fine on a CX550M. Other than that, the Cooler Master Masterwatt is fine, 450W still being double what you need.

What about Motherboard (Chipset), Fans, HDDs, Ram and those RGB STRIPS?

I'm just kidding... I know that they don't draw much power.

Note: I plan on heavy Overclocking so that's why i need 550 watts.

whats your cooling?

I can overclock to 5.3GHzon a 8600k+1070 SC2 and i dont reach 550 watts

you are fine with 550 watts but if you want to have some overhead, a 650 watt psu is also fine. just dont go 750 or above.

550W is still more than double what his system needs for heavy OC. A 550W wouldn't be enough for something like an OC'd 1950X and 1080 Ti.

It's a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi with 2 Fans...

Whatever OC you can get out of an H7 on a 1600 (hint, none at all - I have an H7 and it barely kept my 1700X cool at stock) will not add any power draw. In fact, don't even bother. The H7 doesn't sit very well on AM4 CPUs. A heavily OC'd GTX 1060 will draw less than 200W of power.

Again, you are MORE than fine on a 450W unit. Read this status update of mine. My components draw more power than your future planned components and draw less than 350W while overclocked.
