Looking for Something to Capture Digital Audio Sources

PlayStation 2

Title.

Basically, what I'm looking for is a device that can capture digital audio from either a coaxial or optical input and be able to send that into my desktop digitally, preferably through USB.

Anyone know if I can find something like that, or if it even exists?

My only real requirement is that it can do 48kHz audio.

You could probably using a Coax to USB TV recorder, and then just splice the sound off when needed.

Or maybe a you can make your own Coax to 3.5mm and plug the 3.5 into your mic jack.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Personally, I want to stay away from using the 3.5mm jack on my motherboard. Primarily has to do with my workflow.

I'll look into the former.
