Wifi add in card??

Recneps01

Looking for a decent wifi add in card for a relatively inexpensive cost.  Max $40.00 USD.  Looking for some suggestions as well as any user experiences.

The PC that it will be going into does not have any USB 3 or higher.

Thanks,

J

It doesn't have to be but it is preferred because of limit on usb ports.  I just made on edit says "The PC that it will be going into does not have any USB 3 or higher." not sure if that will be an issue?

Is this a desktop PC with spare PCIe ports you can use, or is it a laptop? Asking because getting a decent PCIe wifi card will perform better than most USB based WiFi adapters, so if this is for a desktop PC I'd recommend getting a TP-Link PCIe wifi adapter from Amazon. Something like the T6E is around $40 USD and handles both 2.4G and 5G wifi decently, even when connecting to a modern Wireless AC based router.
