Concerns about building new pc

Hey, sorry if that doesn't supposed to be in this category.

so I'm thinking of building my new pc. But i have my concerns that Intels new I7 9900 or Nvidia 1180 \ 2080 whatever... are right around the corner. Naturally I don't want to lose value on my new pc a short while after building it.
So what do you guys think, should I wait a few more months or there's no reason to worry and start building right away.

Depends on what you do?

If you are concerned wait 30 days and everything should be clear.  Do you need a new PC right now?

Just getting tired of playing games on low-medium settings, I can wait a few months if it makes a difference.

just gaming.. video editing photo editing..... what you do on your computer

It probably will.  Intel will be releasing their new line up soon and Nvidia has new GPUs coming out as well.  If you don't buy new then their might be reduced prices on existing stuff.
