500gb WD external HDD not recognized

I received a couple of hard drives (model: wd5000n1u-00). I was told that they were used for a xbox 360. I successfully took out the hard drives from their cases. After I installed them in my pc, they did not  appear in Windows 10. They do show in the Bios. How can I get windows 10 to recognize these hard drives so that I can format them for extra space. HDDs are 500gb WD caviar green.

It might be because windows doesn’t recognize the storage type. Did you check disk management? Sometimes a hard drive won’t show up in windows because it’s not initialized for windows.

Im mostly on discord now and you can find me on my profile

I have checked disk management and device manager. It is connected like a regular hdd, with sata cords directly to my power supply and sata port.
