And today the pc shop brings in the galax gtx 1070 ti ex sniper for $349.99 + tax

Someone kick me in the head please....... Worst of all  its got rgb backlit back plate and led fans... dT_Tb

I don't have that kind of cash I'm only 14 and my uncle pays me $4 an hr and I am only allowed by my dad to work 5hrs a day in his hardware store.

Sweet he let me swap but I had to top up $100 so the one I returned is now being sold as a open box at $290. 00

The card was 299,99,  you're getting 290.

The other card was 349.99. 

So how does that make an extra 100?

Unless you totally destroyed the packaging and throwed away the content of the box.

You can just go to the store and return your 1070 to get the 1070Ti.

It's easy to get to a store and say, i don't want this i want the more expensive one.

He's taking back my zotac mini 1070 and put it in the window as a open box card after retesting it works and selling it for $290.00.

Then I'm getting the galax ex sniper white gtx 1070ti from him with me having to top up $100.00 brand new

So you are paying an extra 50 bucks for the hassle of swapping the mini for the TI. 

I have to agree with what frong said. If you were living in Europe then this would be illegal.

Laws might work differently in your country but yeah still it sucks.

I mean there is such a thing as a restocking fee, but generally that is $25-30 at most. The fact he is listing it for about 10 less than what you purchased it for means he isn't really seeing much of a loss and at most you should double that difference so $20... which puts you at 70 NOT 100. He is using this as a way to take advantage of you.

So you're looking at paying $400 for a 1070Ti, which is standard pricing.  It's not $349, it's $399 for you.

 

Is the guy who's buying the 1070 from you, the same one who sold it? Or a different guy?

Please don't he's the only pc shop in our area if he closes I and my friends are mostly fucked the next good pc shop is in West philadelphia and that's roo far for us to travel to.
