Nvidias confusing new lineup may finally have been explained

Master Disaster

So after months of confusion Adored.tv seem to have finally nailed down exactly what Nvidia are planning.

I'll start with another image from Chinese manufacturer Colorful...

iGame-Next-Generation-1.jpg

Quote

The triple fan air cooled design pictured in the right will make its way to the new 20 series GeForce family, however it leverages the same cooling solution from the current generation Pascal. The liquid cooling solution in the right lower corner on the other hand is brand new and has apparently flown under the radar. This card is said to be the brand new RTX 2080 iGame Poseidon.

For its part, Colorful confirmed that this is indeed a brand new custom liquid cooled “next generation” graphics card from NVIDIA. Going by what some of NVIDIA’s AIBs have already said, you can expect custom cooled RTX 2080 graphics cards by September.

Fear not however, as NVIDIA itself is said to be building a badass dual fan Founder’s Edition flagship RTX 2080 that would be made available at launch, so you won’t have to wait for custom cooled designs to grab a 2080 with proper cooling.

Now here's what Adored.tv claim is happening when these cards release later in August/early September

Quote

RUMORED GeForce 20 series lineup, according to AddoredTV

NVIDIA Titan RTX – $3000 US (50% Faster Than 1080 Ti)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GDDR6 – $500-$700 US (50% Faster Than 1080)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 7GB GDDR6 – $300-$500 US (40% Faster Than 1070)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2060 5GB GDDR6 – $200-$300 US (27% Faster Than 1060)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2050 4GB GDDR5 – $100-$200 US (50% Faster Than 1050 Ti)

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-rtx-2080-custom-liquid-cooled-graphics-card-pictured-expected-in-september/

So it looks like Nvidia is splitting the lineup into cards which support RTX and cards that don't. I guess I was kind of correct when I speculated 2 different SKUs.

I still think RTX will be Turing and GTX will be Ampere, let's see if I'm correct.

LUL. Well it's a bit early for me. I can't keep up with anything at the moment.

Isn't there some weird issues with Memory Bus Width when using odd amounts of RAM?

I'm sure they'll come up with something spicy.

can't see how, considering not even the new cards but the old cards and the prices they will resale for.

Idk, AMD usually leaks like a hose. There were rumoured 12 nm polaris cards that will have a bigger die area, but with no leaks that is probably just hopeful thinking

5GB would suggest a 160-bit bus, which is weird. Not impossible though - they already have a 5GB oddball variant of the GTX 1060 for the Chinese market.

OP, you really need to stop reading wccftech.  In fact I would be in favor of banning links to wccftech until after the damn thing is finally released.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2050 4GB GDDR5 – $100-$200 US (50% Faster Than 1050 Ti)

Going by current Nvidia models that's far too few. Where's the GTX 2050 3GB DDR4? or GTX 2050 5GB 96bit? or GTX 2060 4GB  -10% CUDA Cores etc etc etc ;)

I think of the last 7 or 8 threads posted where they are the source I don't remember one having anything of value to read, they were all made up rumors based on intangible websites and screen shots.  I simply refuse to click another wccftech link again. I'll read the thread if there's any interesting discussion to be had, but I'm afraid tangible and evidential thing to discuss right now is how shitty wccftech is and how we shouldn't be handing them clicks.   They are no longer a reliable news source in my opinion.

They're not baseless made up rumors though,  If you go in a straight line it's true.

EDIT: I should add: if you go in a straight line without a cross wind or other road users that might create a slip stream.
