He says the ram works individually, it might be a motherboard prob although i dont think so. RMA and try a new ram kit same with mobo.

I think the motherboard has a problem too.

So, this system worked perfectly fine for a year, but today i had a hardlock while streaming and after i restarted, the pc was using only 8 of my 16 gigs of ram.

So system components:

Intel i7 7700 3.5gHz

16 gigs of ram a predator hyper x ddr 4 two sticks, 3600Mhz

Gtx 1080 from gigabyte

Asus prime B250 plus motherboard

Two monitors.

Steps that i tried:

Clearing c mos

Updating windows

Trying every stick in every socket, both of them worked and the system posted.

Trying both of them in other slots-both of times system didn't post.

I dont't know if it's relevant, but after i reset the c mos, first start-up has a hick-up, but then it works normaly.

I hope i didn't make to manny gramar errors.

Thank's for your help!

Look in the instruction Manuel and see what is says. And does the motherboard support 3600Mhz ram? If not, you may have dead ram. Try contacting Hyper X and explain.

Yeah i said same with mobo indicating that OP should also RMA mobo.

Looks like RMA isn't an option, the one year waranty expired literlaly yesterday.

I have an other option, try the sticks in a diferent computer, and if it works it's the mobo and if not is the sticks?

in the US, asus has a 3-year parts/labor warranty and pretty sure globally.

you should have registered the product (prolly still can) and submit a support ticket to find out what your real options are.
