Asus z370-i temps???

So I was looking at doing a build in the h200 with an 8700k, 1070ti etc, and was wondering if the ek monoblock was needed when doing overclocks on the cpu... I am already running the cpu on a maximus x code, which one of my friends would be interested in buying, so i became interested in possibly downsizing. The cpu hits 5.1 ghz at 1.35 volts... and the temps are obviously cool on the motherboard. I was mainly wondering if it would be worth getting the monoblock for the asus z370-i, and if the temps were a problem on the default design. Thanks in advance!

No you dont have to use a monoblock, just make sure there's a fan blowing onto the VRM heatsink. There should be plenty of space if you use a liquid cooling setup, since you dont get a big heatsink above the CPU blocking the VRM heatsink fan.
