A good chair is sadly very expensive.

R&D to make a comfortable chair, and make complex parts (for example a base that follows the shape of your rear as you sit and not flat piece of wood), and the foam that needs to be soft, breathable, yet hard enough for your butt to not touch the base of the chair, all by returning to its original state after years of use, and not dry up and flat down within a month or so, is costly.

The top players are (in no order):

  • SteelCase (with the Leaf and Gesture series)
  • Herman Miller (with the Aeron and Embody series)
  • Haworth (with the Zody chair)

The high price is not helped with the fact that these manufactures assumes that your are an office, and charges a premium, sadly. While you can order 1 and have (at least in Canada) have free return shipping, they don't target the mainstream consumers.

I planning in purchasing the SteelCase Gesture.

If your not of Luke of floatplane size build then the Corsair T1 is a decent  chair imo . But if you are a larger guy then look into the office mesh ones or you will have problems with your legs and shoulders.

That was my advice as well. I personally have a Zody chair with the lumbar support. The one I have retails for around 1200, but I got it for much cheaper because i know some people that work for a haworth vendor.
