Big Speaker for House Parties

Right so i'm looking for a(some) big speaker(s) that I can bring with me to house parties. One that you hafta plug in, really loud, tons of bass and possible to hook up to a phone/computer with an aux around €250. I live in ireland so uk/irish websites are preferred. This isnt a requirement but portability and durability would be nice too (don't want them broken when someone spills their drink on it for example). I just wanna blast out my psy trance, thanks in advance I don't really know much about speakers so I figured what better place to ask?

Current Build: CPU - AMD 5800K 4.2GHz w/ Stock Cooler :( | Motherboard - ASRock FM82A88 Extreme 4 Plus | Memory - Crucial 8GB Single Stick 1600MHz | GPU - AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB | Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

Project: Just let me play Black Ops... PLEASE!!! - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/ion529/saved/#view=VKm9TW

You're not going to find many powered PA speakers that sound great for that price (loud sure, bass... not without a sub and that's not likely at that price).  You might find something that is exactly what you're looking for used, but be aware that your price is maybe a bit low for new.

I have experience with Peeve, Yorkville, and JBL.  They're all fine; not amazing, but fine.

I'd suggest you visit a local store and talk to the people there.  Someplace like this:

There's usually a lot of PA gear in the used market.  Visit a store and get some ideas of what's good or bad and then shop around the Ireland/UK equivalent of Craigslist.

Yea i've been doing a bit more research and all the ones seem veerrrryyy expensive, this is wayy over budget but I guess if I save a bit more, would this fit the bill?

That includes a lot of functions you may not need (4 channel mixer, effects, etc.).

If that's all you're doing, it's probably not worth spending money on features you don't need.  If you plan on expanding into a DJ roll at some point in the future, then that might be a place to start.

As for Behringer: they're usually a safe choice; not fancy, not too cheap, just decent.

Yea I just looked at a vidjeo review and it has all this extra shite. Ill look for something a little simpler. Are they powerful enough tho? like the subwoofer etc? I want to shake the walls hahahah

Just a side note why are the 2000W speaker sets cheaper than the 800W ones? what am I missing here?

They're 800watts which isn't bad, but only 8" drivers; volume is basically proportional to speaker diameter (all else being equal), so I doubt shaking the walls is in the cards.

There could be many reasons for this.  Here are a few:

1. Not all amps are built the same.  Some cheap amps can deliver a lot of power, but do so at the cost of fidelity.

2. Not all amps are rated the same.  Many manufacturers will advertise peak power, while others will use RMS.  There is a huge difference.  Even if two different amps are both advertised as being the same measurement, there are also different ways of measuring peak power.

3. Reputation is a big deal in the pro audio world.  As a consequence, those with a good reputation can get away with pricing higher, even if the gear isn't any better.

4. A lot of pro gear is sold singly, rather than paired.  Make sure the listings in question have the same quantity of speakers.

Bottom line: always look for independent reviews.
