i5-7600 BIOS Update

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

you have to extract the .rom file from the .zip file, before flashing it into the motherboard in the BIOS

I just found out I will need a BIOS update in order to upgrade my CPU from an i5-6402p to an i5-7600. Don't I just go to my motherboards website here... https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B150M-BAZOOKA-PLUS.html and download the top zip file, put it on a flash drive and go into my BIOS and download the zip file(or whatever is in the zip file) onto my motherboard and I'm good to go?

@Jurrunio So when I extract the rom file from the zip file, then I put it on the flash drive and go into the BIOS and flash it to the mobo?

If the USB drive is already set as FAT32, you don't need to format it again.

@ReHWolution But do I need to empty the flash drive? I have enough free space for the rom file but I also have quite a few things already on the flash drive.
