Hey all, first time poster here xD

Currently in the market for a docking station that supports multiple monitors. I've been searching through forums because I stumbled on some info here and there that DisplayLink tech can cause intense lag as it needs to process images through drivers and then to your monitors (as opposed to directly hooking up a gpu to your monitor). LTT Forum example

Does anyone have any experience using a docking station to hookup their laptop to multiple monitors for gaming specifically? (i.e. laptop monitor off, 2x external monitors on)

What kind of dock did you use? DisplayLink or are there others out there?

Would love to hear from anyone using a Dell WD15 & Dell D6000 as those two are what I've been looking at lately.

System Setup

New Razer Blade (2017)

GTX 1060

Monitor: Asus VP249H (yes, I know its only 1080p)

I really just wanna get some Star Trek Armada II playing in the background lol.

TBH I looked up that dock, cuz I  am probably am a scrub when it comes to gaming lol.

Anyways, eGPU is likely out for now. No sense in getting one when my laptop has a dedicated GPU already.

Side note: An eGPU would be nice down the line when Surface Pro's support them. I'll change my whole setup then, super productivity running around meetings all day, then play the same 5 games I've been playing since high school :)
