Hey people! I need help with real audio pros because my problem is inexplicably stupid. So I had my snowball ice for a longtime and I had to use VB voice meeter at some point to boost my voice then i realized i dont even need it. It worked just fine without it. I bought logitech  g430 and before I switched onto the headset mic my microphone was all good. When I switched onto my headset microphone my snowball got worse in quality. I checked the settings and logitched and snowball got the same properties somehow as if they mixed up. I tried disabling the logitech headset microphone and reinstalling drivers on blue snowball but nothing seems to work. I need help and explanation how is this possible and how can I go back on my settings

Under sound properties, make sure in both playback and recording your devices have their defaults set. This ensures the right device is used when using things like Skype or listening to music on YouTube.

Secondly, double click under recording tab the microphone you are working with. You should see levels, there I want you to right click the value shown and select Decibels (as that's how it should be over %). Make sure you're set to 0.0dB for starters ensuring signal coming into PC is not boosted!

Now if there's a gain on the microphone, you'll want to turn that down. In your microphone sound properties, you can go to the listen tab and select listen to this device and start adjusting the volume to where you like it. We don't touch the PC input volume unless the microphone has no gain or it's maxed out and it needs to be louder. Boosting the signal causes unwanted noise from coils inside the machine/etc.

Now for the Sample Rates, it's best to leave that alone. 44100Hz @ 16bit is perfect. Don't change it, I promise you don't need to, there's no difference in quality. :)
Stick to industry standards here and you'll be fine.
