AOC C24G1 - A good and cheap 144hz curved monitor?

I am currently in the market for a 144hz monitor for gaming purposes. I don't do any kind of photo/video editing although i would probably use the monitor for youtube watching etc.

I have had a 144hz TN monitor before which i did not enjoy very much because the colours were pretty bad (sent it back).

I just found the AOC C24G1 which is currently selling for 230€ in Austria.

Since this is, as far as I know, a pretty new monitor i was unable to find any usefull reviews/tests.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good purchase? Is the reaction time/input lag acceptable? Should I be looking at something else?

Is VA going to be a significant step up in colour reproduction compared to TN?

My budget is around 250€.

Current specs:

Ryzen 5 2600

Gtx 1060

Thank you a lot in advance!

Not a huge step up. but at least it has better viewing angle and no more annoying color shifting at the top/bottom of the screen. (still not as good as IPS tho) Color is somewhat better. but some expensive TN could have a better color too.

I'm not a big fan of VA gaming, becoz high response time and deep black is kinda annoying if you play competitive gaming. I have used every kind of panel. TN has better responsive and less blurring/ghosting when you swing your mouse quickly. But for color and viewing angle, IPS won.

If you want some good step up. then get something like Samsung CFG73 which is a QLED VA. so much better than typical VA panel.

Thanks for this input! I looked this monitor up and it looks like a pretty good option as far as I can tell!

I hadn't heard of quantum dot technology before.
