Maybe that's the rub.  What do you consider expensive and how much do these units cost?

Links to stores?

Eh, it may be low end but I wouldn't put either in a system with a dGPU.

Can you link us to stores where you can buy PSUs from?

What do you mean "Store links not available for all"? If you have any store links, post them. We're not going to ask you "Do you have CX?" "No" "Do you have Be Quiet?" "No" "Do you have X?" "No" over and over again.

Well, the first store links to a dead link.

From the Taipei shop

That's the cheapest I would get from that store.

Aaaannnd, well checking out the third store, that Cooler Master seems to be the best bet.

Most 1050s don't need extra power so you could just go for the EVGA or the FSP 500 if it's the same price, it's not going to explode ffs you don't have a Threadripper with a 1080Ti SLI.

Those PSUs are ok for that build, I mean you're building a budget computer not a ultra high end rig you don't need a 80+ Titanium server grade unit, 650W IS OVERKILL FOR A 7100 BUILD

You could run that computer with one of these SFX 300W units and it'd work

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

The quality of those units is garbage. I wouldn't put them in nearly any system but I'd especially not put it in a system with a dGPU, which produces heat.

Those units will always be garbage when you have $100+ 80+ units on the other corner waiting to beat the sh*t out of them.

And a 1050 dGPU which can reach 60C max while gaming, just like a 750/950.

A friend has been running a 2600K with a 750Ti with a "600W" crap PSU for 3 years and before that 750Ti he had a 5850

His PSU

we even modded it adding a fan with red LEDs and everything

similar units are used by brands selling prebuilts (even "gaming" prebuilts) that have graphics cards up to the 960 and those things rarely have a problem

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

The units are garbage PERIOD. They're literally fire hazards lacking PFC, terrible fan designs where the bearings could fail at any point in time, no 80 PLUS ratings (so they're in literally no way professionally tested, let alone by professional reviewers).

The temperature the GPU reaches isn't the issue. A 290 could feasibly have better heat dissipation and better airflow in its enclosed system than a system with a GTX 1050. My point being that the GPU creates heat in an enclosed space and the PSU is exposed to that heat.

Your experiences of short-term use of an absolutely crap unit don't reflect the potential damage that could be caused to your hardware, the PSU itself, or the legitimate fire hazards that exist using a unit lacking protections.

Please stop giving advice about PSUs if you're going to have this mentality. It's how people end up spending money on crap.
