Founder Editions, yes or no?

I'm going to buy myself a new graphic card soon, my case is Cougar QBX, which is an ITX case. I don't know much, but I was told that I should go for a founder edition card like the Asus 1060 6g one (I had that one, worked great, I haven't had any issues as far as I recall) and not for a 2-3 fans design.

 

My aim is going for good cooling and to be quiet enough for long recording nights, I don't play much, but this system needs to hold for several years. As for the GPU itself, I'm going for a 1070, the 1060 was a great experience. 

Also, my screen is Dell P2416D.

I have a 1070Ti Founder's Edition myself and while it gets toasty, it's not super loud. I do have a non-windowed Define R5 though, with sound dampening material.

Blower style cards run hot, but don't put too much heat into your case compared to other open air cooler designs. If you're not going to overclock the GPU, the founders edition card should be fine.

I'd go Founders in a SFF case unless there's a vented side panel for it to dump air out of.

I would only get founders if you have a lot of intake fans and know you can keep your card cool and quiet. If you have less airflow, I would get an aftermarket. Those allow you to OC more.

Just keep in mind that blower style/foundation gpu's are running hotter than the regular cards with 2/3 fans ontop. 

Since you only want a blower style gpu you don;t have another choice.

The only reason to buy those is for watercooling or in an SFF case
