Does the OS affect the load speed of other drives

Go to solution Solved by Shimejii,

Remember M.2 IS a CONNECTOR, it by itself does not dictate a speed. I have Sata m.2 SSD's and NVME m.2 SSD's.

OS should not effect your Drive at all unless you put it on it.

I just bought a M.2 Drive yesterday, its my third drive, i have a sata III SSD and a HDD as well. I was wondering, my OS is already installed on the SSD and i don't really want to change that because im lazy. so i was wondering, will the OS being on a slower drive effect the load speed of the M.2 drive?

By itself, no.
