Wil this bottleneck or even work?

I currently have an AMD A8-7650k with R7 integrated graphics. Will it bottleneck if I upgrade to a GTX 1050 Ti SC? I'm also wondering if it will use the GPU instead of the APUs graphics.

as to which GPU will function output wise, whichever you hook the monitor cable to.

hook the video cable to the APU (motherboard video out)

hook the video cable to the GPU (graphics card video out)
