Is it safe to use a Magnetic LED strip on back of a monitor?

Hi everyone,

 

As the title say I have a CableMod Widebeam Magnetic LED strip which I'm wondering if I can connect to my MoBo using a RGB extension cable. I'm using a Dell P2417h monitor and I probably would have to use double sided tape to mount it but I'm concerned if the magnets in the LED strip might damage my monitor. Is there any chance for that to happen? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. :)
