i saw in some news that the new cpus are around 450+, but are i9s realy that cheap? the ones i found are always at 1000+! is the bottom price of 450+ refer to the i7.9700k? cause i want to build my balls to the wall gaming pc worth 3000+

and i think a 1000 bucks expensive i9 is i think too expensive. and is the i7-9700k without hyperthreading better than the 8700k?

depends how hard intel wants to compete with prices to AMD. i9 will probably be way faster than a 2700x. But if they would want to demolish AMD they would sell it for ~350 (old i7 price) and the i7 for ~250 (old i5 price). But from knowing Intel.. they will cost a little premium thats why a ~450 speculation is decent on the mainstream plattform.

But i also think that it isnt going to be much more than 450-500. Else it wouldnt be competition right?..
