Ryzen 5 v Asus Motherboard

Building a new pc and have a Ryzen 5 CPU and an Asus TUF-M 350 Motherboard. Navidia GeoForce graphics card.

(Apparently) have no graphics output because Ryzen needs BIOS 4.2 and Motherboard has only 3.8. However can't update motherboard because I have no display!!

IF I buy a cheap AM4 cpu and use it to update the BIOS, will the Ryzen recognise this?

Which exact Ryzen 5 CPU do you have, model number is important.

Also, you need to plug the monitor into your graphics card, not the motherboard.

CPU: i7 3770K | MB: EVGA Z77 FTW | RAM: HyperX Savage 2400Mhz 16GB | GPU: R9 280X Toxic | Cooler: Scythe Fuma | PSU: CoolerMaster B600

Yes, buying a cheap A-series cpu will allow you to flash the new BIOS so i assume either your 2200G or 2400G will work.

However, you can always ask the shop where you bought it from to update it for you or if they don't want to contact AMD, they ship bootkits to people that have your issue. The AMD option is free but takes a while.
