HI guys,
I finally bit the bullet and got me some Audio technica phones (after watching one of your reviews) I have upgraded from Logitech G35 usb ones. So far so good, apart from one little concern.
I am getting some kinda interference from somewhere.

Only when the volume is up a little I can hear it only in the left side. I have moved my sound card (Xonar DG) further from the GPU (R9-290x) and its still there. I have tried the phones on the laptop all good. I have enabled the onboard codec and tried them and all good.
It seems when I move the mouse it gets worse! even plugging the phones into the back without the extension it still carries the noise...

Its obviously the sound card. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Righto, is there a product available that is a good quality headphone amp and SPDIF pass through? all external?

An amp/dac combo would be a good solution.

I just got a Micca Origen G2 because of a similar issue and it's pretty damn great. No more static sounds and a noticeably better quality sound.

Thanks Jabroni. But can I have a SPDIF passthrough in a DAC? I use headphones for gaming, but its also hooked up to my HT setup to run blu rays,

I think you can. It has an analog stereo and spdif optical out(reading the user manual)

Well, Id try the front audio ports. I have a similar issue on my PC, where the on board audio produces has issue. I can hear things in my headphones when I move the mouse. Started using the front audio ports, solved my issue. Maybe an external DAC would help.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yes I'm aware, it's no DAC/Audio Interface though. It's a sound card.
There are clear differences so I guess it depends on use.

I don't know why you'd buy the card over use of onboard, that I wonder about but in regards to potentially DIYing a fix; you can try eletrical tape on t he expansion slot that'll seat the card. Preventing the metal contact may stop the back plate from transmitting further signals.
