Gpu fan rattling sound help

My gpu fans seem to make an annoying rattling sound whenever it spins over 50% speed. I found out that if I position my desktop laying down, the sound would disappear. I don't mind the desktop laying down but was wondering if this is really a solution. The sound may be gone but possibly there could be damage in the long run?

Try cleaning it.

The screws may have rattled loose. The high RPM of the fans generally cause vibrations when not secured properly.

 

EDIT: The fins could also be slightly bent, causing the fans to lose balance, as all fans are balanced.

Screws are tight and secure, fins aren't bent. It should be fine as long as I lay the desktop down righ?

Don't see why not. If it stops the noise, she'll be right.
